The JLC Scholarship Program provides financial support and mentorship to deserving young women pursuing higher education and their dreams.

About the Scholarship

The JLC Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of excellence and service. We believe that financial barriers should never stand between a young woman and her education.

Each year, Gemstones Youth Development awards scholarships to outstanding young women who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a young woman between the ages of 16–25
Enrolled or accepted into an accredited college, university, or vocational program
Demonstrated financial need
Minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent
Active involvement in community service or extracurricular activities
Preference given to Chester, Lancaster and York County Residents)

How to Apply

Complete the Application

Fill out the online application form with your personal information, academic history, and essay responses.

Submit Supporting Documents

Provide transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and proof of enrollment or acceptance.

Interview

Selected finalists will be invited to a brief interview with the scholarship committee.

Award Announcement

Recipients are notified and celebrated at our annual awards ceremony.
